Files

Files can be created from the files page, or inline as part of defining a template.

The files page lists files having an admin scope. These files can be added to and grouped into template folders as part of a template feature.

The same file can be added to multiple templates. Example use-cases are organization-wide policies, manuals, work instructions… The files are not bound to the lifecycle of the template: when the template is deleted, the files continue to exist.

The admin scope files are distinct from the files added to an asset directly (by means of an asset folder), we say these files have asset scope. Asset files do not show up under the administration files page and are bound to the lifecycle of the asset.
